CONDUCTING
DEVELOPMENTAL RESEARCH FROM QUALITATIVE PERSPECTIVE (PROGRAM
CODE: RES-10-03) |
There has been a long-time dispute over qualitative and
quantitative approach and methodology of research. Accordingly,
two group of scholars have been ever claiming and blaming
each other. The fight has revealed the third school of thought
– mixed method as more important and more reliable; which
becomes the bridge between the former two.
Development, management, and maintaining high reliability
of data has become very important these days. One needs
a thorough knowledge of making research endeavor as pure
as possible. Understanding the problem from the depth –
uncovering it – is highly relevant in each research situation.
Over dependency on facts disconnected from the reality may
lead to failed decision-making.
The solution is to feel and sense personally. Being there
within the problem, observing and tasting the phenomenon,
and linking between inductive and deductive learning would
lead to more reliable information to infer a more precise,
reliable and accurate solution with low cost. Qualitative
research leads you to this paradigm.
Edify International has come up with a Six-Day semi-residential
training program on developmental research from qualitative
perspective which is expected to be highly useful to every
researcher intending to, or involved in conducting advanced
research studies on qualitative as well as quantitative
paradigms in the field of social development. More specifically,
it is designed for the professionals who intend to conduct
qualitative research for developmental organizations. Therefore,
we expect participants primarily from national and international
government and non-government organizations. Personal readiness
of the participant to make research a life-time passion
is a must in this program.
